Blacks Jnr returns with “5 am In Kwa-Mashu”, a Gqom release featuring Goldmax. The track forms part of the upcoming project uMjovo and is scheduled for release on 5 November 2026, adding another title to the 2026 catalogue from the KwaZulu-Natal-rooted Gqom space.

With its late-night title and club-focused genre identity, “5 am In Kwa-Mashu” presents a direct entry into the energetic world associated with Gqom. The collaboration brings Blacks Jnr and Goldmax together on a release designed for listeners who enjoy rhythm-driven South African dance music and powerful electronic production.

The song’s title gives the track a clear sense of time and place while keeping the focus on the music itself. “5 am In Kwa-Mashu” suggests a release built around the atmosphere of the early morning, when the night is still unfolding and the pulse of the dancefloor remains central.

As part of uMjovo, the track will sit within a broader project from Blacks Jnr. Its inclusion alongside Goldmax makes it a notable collaboration on the project, offering listeners a focused Gqom cut ahead of the album’s arrival.

“5 am In Kwa-Mashu” is set to arrive on 5 November 2026. Listeners can look forward to hearing Blacks Jnr and Goldmax combine their names on a new Gqom release that brings together a strong title, a defined sound and a place within the forthcoming uMjovo project.
