Prince Phikela - DALI WAM

South African Maskandi artist Prince Phikela returns with DALI WAM, a recording featured on his 2026 music project AMABELE. The track appeared on South African music platforms in October 2026, joining a collection of five songs associated with the musician's latest work. Its isiZulu title, Dali Wam, translates approximately to "My Darling" or "My Love," introducing an affectionate expression commonly used when addressing someone special. The name creates a connection to romantic relationships, although the composition's complete lyrical message has not been independently verified. Through this release, Prince Phikela adds another recording to his catalog while continuing his involvement in South Africa's culturally significant Maskandi music scene. <Cite refs={["turn153805search0","turn153805search1"]}/>

DALI WAM appears alongside GOLIDE, WOZA WOZA, CORRECT MOJA, and the title track AMABELE. The five-song collection is listed as an EP on Zamaskandi, with a total duration of approximately 28 minutes and 14 seconds. Another music website has published a similarly titled recording, Dali Wami, credited to Prince Phikela featuring Mabhava, although that featured credit has not been established for the exact DALI WAM listing. The project follows the artist's earlier Amabhinca Forever EP, released in May 2025. Associated with traditional Zulu musical expression, Maskandi is recognized for its characteristic guitar techniques, distinctive vocal delivery, and narratives influenced by everyday experiences. While the precise production arrangements of DALI WAM remain unconfirmed, the recording provides another opportunity to explore the musician's artistic direction.
