Blue Pappi - Pick A Side ft. Reneilwe

Blue Pappi continues to expand the sound and character of his forthcoming EHLANE album with “Pick A Side,” a compact collaboration featuring Reneilwe. The song occupies the sixteenth position on the 19-track Hip-Hop/Rap project and runs for 1 minute and 58 seconds, making it one of the shortest selections on the record. Despite its brief duration, the title immediately presents a sense of confrontation and decision-making, giving the track a direct identity within an album filled with contrasting themes and moods. EHLANE is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026 through Blue Pappi / Gatvol Agency, and “Pick A Side” arrives during the project’s closing section, shortly before records such as “Drunk ASF,” “K’dala Ngithandaza” and “Inzondo.”

The inclusion of Reneilwe introduces another voice into Blue Pappi’s increasingly collaborative musical environment, helping “Pick A Side” stand apart from the solo cuts positioned around it. Its concise runtime suggests a tightly arranged composition that prioritizes immediate impact rather than an extended structure, while the phrase “Pick A Side” creates room for themes involving loyalty, divided relationships, trust or choosing where one stands when circumstances become complicated. Without overextending the concept, the record adds another layer to EHLANE, a collection where Blue Pappi moves between individual performances and guest-assisted material. That balance gives the album room to showcase his personal delivery while also highlighting his ability to share creative space with other performers.

For audiences following Blue Pappi, new South African hip-hop releases and emerging Mzansi rap collaborations, “Pick A Side” represents another intriguing entry from EHLANE. The full project contains 19 tracks with a total runtime of 58 minutes and 10 seconds, placing this short collaboration inside a much broader musical statement from the South African artist. As listeners explore the album, Blue Pappi ft. Reneilwe – Pick A Side offers a quick but potentially memorable moment before the project moves into its final stretch, reinforcing the diversity of voices, ideas and arrangements found across the record.
