Madlegijima - Isinqumo ft. Shenge Wasehlalankosi

South African Maskandi artist Madlegijima teams up with shenge-wasehlalankosi">Shenge WaseHlalankosi on “Isinqumo,” the title track from his 2026 project of the same name. The collaboration was released on September 28, 2026 and forms part of a broader run of new material that includes songs such as “Amafindo,” “Umsebenzi Wami” and “Kuyimalini.” Current listings identify Isinqumo as a fresh Maskandi project from Madlegijima, while the title track has been promoted separately as a soulful collaboration with Shenge WaseHlalankosi. The title itself translates from isiZulu as “decision,” giving the record a meaningful name that can naturally connect with themes of choice, consequence, commitment and the turning points people face in everyday life.

The appearance of Shenge WaseHlalankosi adds extra weight to the song, particularly because he has also been active across a number of recent Maskandi collaborations. His presence gives “Isinqumo” a two-voice dynamic that distinguishes it from Madlegijima’s solo releases from the same period. Rather than treating the guest feature as a simple addition, the pairing helps reinforce the communal nature of Maskandi, where storytelling and cultural expression can gain new dimension when different performers share one record. The song also sits naturally within Madlegijima’s wider 2026 catalogue, which balances individual performances with collaborations featuring artists such as Nzuzo WeziHlabani and Londeka Shangase.

For listeners searching for Madlegijima ft. Shenge WaseHlalankosi – Isinqumo, new Maskandi songs, latest isiZulu music or fresh South African traditional releases, the track is especially significant because it shares its name with the full project. That title-track status gives “Isinqumo” a stronger identity within the release cycle, making it one of the natural entry points for anyone discovering Madlegijima’s newest material. With Shenge WaseHlalankosi contributing to the record and the surrounding album expanding the artist’s 2026 output, “Isinqumo” adds another culturally grounded collaboration to a period marked by consistency, storytelling and the continued visibility of modern Maskandi music.
