5 OF SPADES

Sponge 101’s *5 OF SPADES* is a 14-track dance album arriving on 19 December 2025. Built around an extensive cast of collaborators, the project presents the South African artist in a format that values movement, variety and collective energy.

The album’s guest list is one of its clearest defining features. George Lesley appears on the title track, while Casey and C-TRIX join Sponge 101 on “Isoka”. Dbn Gogo and Msongi feature on “Bazozwa”, DJ Stopper appears on both “Beast” and “Inkingazam”, and C-TRIX returns alongside Nirvana Nokwe and NoxieKay on “Ngifuna Wena”.

That collaborative approach continues throughout the tracklist. “Impilo” features Jay Sax and Cooper SA, with Cooper SA also appearing on “Mina Nawe” alongside Dench. “When Days Are Dark” brings together 2woBunnies, TmanXpress and Letswai, while “Jaiva” features Fake’Well and Silas Africa. King P appears on “Duku Duky” with Shaun Stylist and on “Pressa” as a solo guest.

The album closes with “Malsal Saka”, listed as a bonus track, featuring Dbn Gogo and DJ Stopper. Its placement gives the project a final collaborative flourish after 13 main tracks.

With its dance classification and broad range of featured artists, *5 OF SPADES* is positioned as a substantial year-end release rather than a brief statement. The album’s appeal lies in the scale of its lineup: listeners can move from established names such as Dbn Gogo and DJ Stopper to a wider network of vocalists, producers and performers across the project’s 14 tracks.

For anyone following South Africa’s dance landscape, *5 OF SPADES* is worth keeping on the radar as a large-format collaboration album from Sponge 101—one designed to be experienced track by track, with its rotating cast providing the project’s central point of interest.
