Sgvo’s *VO III* arrives on 12 December 2025 as a 10-track dance album that places the South African producer in conversation with a wide range of established and rising voices from the country’s electronic music scene.
The project opens with “Jazz Mlayezo (Intro)” before moving into a collaboration-led tracklist. “Emasisweni (SGVO Dub)” features Ruulz, Kenton Lee and Zeh McGeba, while “Imoto” brings together Hypaphonik, Katlego and Cowboii. The album continues to draw on major names, including Kabza De Small and Mdu Aka Trp on “Lawuleka (SGVO Dub),” Babalwa M and Mi Casa on “La Vida,” and Artwork Sounds on “Mali.”
That guest list is one of *VO III*’s clearest attractions. Rather than presenting Sgvo in isolation, the album operates as a meeting point for different artists and styles within contemporary dance music. Stixx appears twice—on “Bawo” alongside Nvcho and on “The Chant” with Baby S.o.n, Djy Ma’ten and Musica_Stylist—giving the project another thread of continuity. Elsewhere, Mick Man joins Sgvo on “Sweet Kamnandi.”
The two tracks marked as SGVO Dubs—“Emasisweni” and “Lawuleka”—also point to a project interested in revisiting and reshaping its material, rather than simply moving from one standalone collaboration to the next. The closing track, “Audio Crack,” completes the album after a sequence that moves through intros, vocal features and producer-driven collaborations.
With its compact 10-track format and densely populated feature list, *VO III* is best understood as a collaborative dance release: a showcase for Sgvo’s production world and for the artists gathered around it. For listeners following the continuing evolution of South African dance music, the album’s appeal lies in that combination of focused sequencing and a strong cross-section of collaborators, from Kabza De Small, Mdu Aka Trp and Mi Casa to Hypaphonik, Djy Ma’ten and Mick Man.
