Nobuhle Drops “Imvula Re-Birth” Album
South African vocalist and songwriter Nobuhle has officially released Imvula Re-Birth, a 12-track album that revisits and expands the story introduced through her acclaimed 2021 project, IMVULA. Released on August 28, 2026, the project presents a deeply personal exploration of identity, ancestral memory, spirituality, healing, vulnerability, and renewal.
Rather than functioning as a conventional deluxe edition, Imvula Re-Birth is presented as a new chapter in Nobuhle’s artistic journey. The project blends contemporary African production with live instrumentation, traditional influences, Afro-house, soul, and melodic elements. At the heart of the album is “Isgubhu sika gogo,” a deeply personal song centred on ancestry, memory, family history, and spiritual inheritance.
