Umafikizolo, also known as Khethukuthula Mhlongo in some biographical sources and Lethukuthula Mhlongo in others, is a rising South African Maskandi artist associated with the Ladysmith/uMnambithi area of KwaZulu-Natal. He has gained attention for combining traditional Zulu storytelling and Maskandi sounds with a contemporary approach that appeals to younger listeners. His music career began gaining wider recognition with releases such as “Ngathi Nguye”, which helped establish him as one of the emerging names in modern Maskandi.

Umafikizolo experienced his major breakthrough with “Uyoncengwa Unyoko”, a song that became a viral success and significantly expanded his audience beyond the traditional Maskandi community.
